Lama Yeshe Losal RinpocheThe center has been founded in April 2002, by Ven. Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Abbot and Retreat Master of Kagyü Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland, after a conference given in Venice, and represents a meeting point for everybody who wants to learn simple but profound Vajrayana buddhism meditation techniques, and practice relaxation exercises conceived by dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche (click here to see some photo shots of the center).

Through simple words and clear examples the Lamas help us to become aware of potentialities we all have, everybody without distinctions; they also show us a better way to develop them, learning how to accept our characteristics in order to use them as a starting point to develop positive qualities.

In the Karma Kagyü lineage meditation pratice and its application in everyday life are emphasized, thus we think these short  but profound teachings are the better way to present ourself:

Akong Tulku Rinpoche: “In the Karma Kagyü lineage, experience is very important; it is infact from it that wisdom arises and it is wisdom that frees us from fear”.

Statua del Buddha a Samye LingLama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche: “We must understand that our mind belongs to us, so we are the ones who work with our mind, we are the ones who are responsible of which direction to take… We can't expect changes coming from outside, we can't complain of the ways things go externally, or worse, we can't force others with violence to become peaceful, all of this don't work. On the contrary it's important to understand that every positive change starts from ourselves, so here it is why it is important to develop this awareness”.
