Rob Nairn
Rob Nairn is the African
representative for Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Master of tibetan Buddhism and
founder of Kagyu Samye Ling, the first tibetan Buddhism center in the West.
Rob regularly teaches in Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Africa and United
States, both in universities and Dharma centers.
After having been senior lecturer in law and criminology at University of
Cape Town he approached the study of Buddhist psychology and developed a
deep insight of meditation thanks to the instructions received from several
teachers in India, England, Africa and Scotland.
He received teachings from XVI Gyalwa Karmapa, Khentin Tai Situpa, Thrangu
Rinpoche, Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche and he authored
successful books which were translated in english, german, spanish, italian,
african, czech, dutch and portuguese.
Thanks to his unique mix of training and practice in law, psychology and
teachings from eminent meditation Masters, Rob is able to explain
traditional Buddhism concepts with a western psychology perspective.
