Ani Semchi
 

Ani Semchi has studied and practiced for many years thangka traditional painting techiques in Samye Ling monastery with Sherab Palden, great master of Karma Gadri lineage, whose works are renowned for their beauty and purity.

Ani Semchi is life-long nun and she completed the traditional 3 years retreat, where the meditative experience enriched her insight of this particular kind of traditional tibetan painting.

She taught in several centers (Germany, Italy, South Africa, United Kingdom ,…) this ancient art and then she finally settled in Samye Ling, Scotland, where now she is responsible of projects for the creation and restoring of Tibetan thangkas.
This exceptional artist is dedicating her life to the preservation and teaching of ancient traditional painting methods.
